Explosive Video Robert Reich, Obama’ s economic advisor doesnt want recovery jobs for “White Male Construction Workers”
Charlie Rangel says Middle class wont fight back
Charlie Rangel and Robert Reich are conspiring to ensure SOCIAL ENGINEERING and WEALTH REDISTRIBUTION
“On his blog, Robert Reich reasoned “if construction jobs go mainly to white males who already dominate the construction trades, many people who need jobs the most — women, minorities, and the poor and long-term unemployed — will be shut out.”
While it is comforting that in the audio clip Mr. Reich is quick to disclose that he has “nothing against while male construction workers,” the fact that he does not want stimulus generated jobs to go to “white male construction workers” is gravely disconcerting. Even more alarming is the fact that Barack Obama has remained mum about the opinions expressed by his economic adviser.
Would there have been an outcry has Mr. Reich suggested keeping the stimulus funds from being spent on “black male construction workers” or “undocumented alien construction workers?” Maybe it would have made waves had he opined on “Jewish construction workers” or “female construction workers?” As it stands, it would appear that Robert Reich has declared open season on white males.
Of course, it is also quite evident that Robert Reich has not walked by a construction site in California. As the USA Today reported as far back as 2007, the influx of Hispanic workers in Los Angeles and surrounding areas has led to a shift in construction job allocation, and now “67% of construction workers are Hispanic.”
This brings up a number of disturbing questions. First and foremost, should affirmative action be instituted when saving American residents who are suffering economically? Is a Hispanic family who loses a home more in need than a Caucasian family in the same situation? Is an African American construction worker without a job more in need of work than an unemployed Caucasian construction worker with the same skills? ”

Singapore Budget 2009 Brief overview! - Clear Video Quality!
Budget 2009 Highlights
Minister for Finance, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam unveiled a Resilience Package totalling $20.5 billion during Budget Speech 2009 to help Singapore see through the current period of exceptional difficulty. The key objective of the Package is to help Singaporeans keep their jobs to the maximum extent possible and help viable companies stay afloat. The Package prepares Singapore to emerge with strength when the global economy recovers, and enhances capabilities and competitiveness for the long term.
The Package has five components:
1)
Jobs for Singaporeans
The Government will spend $5.1 billion to help Singaporeans stay employed so they can continue to support their families by introducing a Jobs Credit Scheme, Enhancing SPUR, (Skills Programme for Upgrading and Resilience) providing a WIS Special Payment and expanding recruitment across the public sector.
2)
Stimulating Bank Lending
The Government will extend $5.8 billion of government capital to stimulate bank lending through enhancing existing schemes and a new Special Risk-Sharing Initiative (SRI). The SRI comprises a new Bridging Loan Programme (BLP) and new risk-sharing schemes for trade financing.
3)
Enhancing Business Cash-flow and Competitiveness
The Government will implement various tax concessions and measures costing $2.6 billion to ease business cash-flow and sharpen Singapore’s competitiveness.
4)
Supporting Families
The Government will spend $2.6 billion on direct assistance to Singaporean households, increased targeted help for vulnerable groups and additional support for Charitable Giving and the Community. These measures will be in addition to the help that the households will derive from the Jobs initiatives (mentioned above).
5)
Building A Home for the Future
The Government will spend $4.4 billion to continue to develop Singapore as a global city and the best home for Singaporeans by bringing forward $1.3 billion worth of infrastructure projects, $1 billion worth of sustainable development programmes, public housing estate rejuvenation and the upgrading education and health infrastructure.
The unprecedented severity of the global financial and economic crisis justifies a draw from Singapore’s past reserves. The President has given in-principle approval for the Government to draw $4.9 billion from past reserves to fund the Jobs Credit Scheme and Special Risk-Sharing Initiative.
The revised Overall Budget Balance for FY2009 is a deficit of $8.7 billion (3.5% of GDP). The Basic Balance, which excludes the transfers to endowment funds as well as the contributions from Net Investment Returns, is a deficit of $14.9 billion (6.0% of GDP) imparting a large fiscal boost to the economy this year.
History of hedge funds The hedge funds have become quite popular today but there were times when these hedge funds were considered unconventional or even illegal. The hedge funds were given negative attention mostly due to the nature of the hedge funds and the unconventional means that was applied with them. Also many companies kept their hedge funds a secret and this was also a reason why the hedge funds were though unethical. Alfred Jones can be credited as the father of hedge funds. He was a student at Haward and while researching on the current investment trends he sought to try the methods for the hedge funds to manage money. His innovation was to sell some short stocks while buying some long ones. This method proved to be quite successful as he made about $ 100,000 from it. He also came up with the idea of getting leverage during his investment. This greatly increased his returns. With these ideas and years of experimentation he published an article in the year of 1966. This article showed that his hedge funds had outperformed the mutual funds and therefore this gave birth to the hedge fund industry. Since the concept was new many people tried to stay away from it but the lucrative returns that it offered more and more people got involved in the hedge funds. The hedge funds were however not easy to manage. The hedge funds took time and effort to shape into the industry that is of today. There were many ups and downs but the hedge funds always managed to attract the investors. This is mainly because of the outstanding performance that the hedge funds offered. The hedge funds have also taken up quite a long time to be available for public investments. Earlier these hedge funds were only available for private investments and there were hardly any outside investments allowed. This status made these hedge funds look like they were illegal. However, today the hedge funds are mostly available for private investment even thought there are certain qualifications that you should meet before you start investing on the hedge funds. The hedge funds are unsecured and therefore you should be careful of the rate of investments for the hedge funds. If you are investing with limited source of money then it is more advised that you invest in more secure funds which have guaranteed return. However, with a good source of disposable income you can turn your dormant money into live returns. This is why perhaps the investors all over the world are most interested in investing in the hedge funds.
